Al Mamoon (ババナシア王国 Babanasia Kingdom) is a desert kingdom not far from the volcano Old Smoky and the only city of The Shimmering Sands. It is one of the cities of the Summerlands. It is the second city the player visits after Ding Dong Dell.
Al Mamoon is famous for its fountain that provides the creamiest milk in that world, but even moreso for its babana trade (a fruit similar to, and perhaps based on a childish mis-pronunciation of "banana"). A notable proprietor of babanas is Rashaad, who is formerly known as one of the Great Sages.
Al Mamoon is also ruled by Queen Lowlah, more commonly referred to as Her Moojesty or the Cowlipha.
A gifted painter named Con the Artist creates a painting of her Moojesty and provides a visual on the then unseen queen to Oliver and Esther, to Esther's annoyance (the artist commented that she had the same nose). Al Mamoon also has its own tragic version of the "Frog Prince" fairytale, which is the main plot in the Vault of Tears.
In the Cat's Cradle, it costs 20g to spend the night.
