Obtaining[]

Citizens are obtained through side quests and can be found anywhere in the open world, including cities, caves, the world map, or exchanged for Tokens of Gratitude. Sometimes, another side quest or advancement of the plot is necessary in order to obtain certain citizens. There are a total of 100 citizens to recruit, not including Evan, Roland, and Lofty. Batu, Tani, Bracken, and Leander automatically join the kingdom when they join the player's party and are able to be assigned jobs.

Leveling, Stats and Suitable Jobs[]

All citizens recruited are able to work in Evermore. Each citizen has status that represent for key areas of development: combat, spellwork, higglery, and crafting. Some citizens may have stats primarily in only one field, while some have it evenly distributed between all four. Citizens who are "suitable" for a job (denoted by a yellow star when placing them as personnel), increase productivity and earn experience points faster than those placed without it. Some citizens may even be suitable for multiple jobs, utilizing them to meet other requirements.

In addition to leveling up, each citizen is given a rank based on their experience. Beginner > Veteran > Master. It is possible for some citizens to already be a Veteran or Master when they join Evermore.

Citizens can research topics as long as they have enough combined IQ and a member of personnel has the required skill (i.e. Nimble Fingers).
