Gnauss Wisden is a character in the Ni no Kuni Movie. He is the Chancellor of Magic and is a trusted advisor to King Fidelius Astrum. In truth however, he is the alter ego of Crown Prince Sedulus Astrum, making him Princess Astrid Astrum's uncle.
Personality[]
Gnauss is initially portrayed as a calculating yet loyal servant of Evermore, offering aid to the Royal Family and serving dutifully to attempt to cure Princess Astrum after being afflicted with a dark and powerful curse. It's revealed however that his loyalty is a farce, and upon being exposed by Yu, he reveals his true identity as the late Crown Prince Sedulus Astrum.
Appearance[]
Gnauss wears an ornate black and lavender-colored robe with gold trim and a set of jewelry with red gemstones worn broadly around his neck. His hair is colored pink and wears a pair of circular-framed glasses. Upon his schemes being exposed, he discards his robes to reveal the magical scarring incurred by his attempted assassination of Astrid, before magically summoning the armor of his alter-ego Galeroth Felgrimm.
