Halcyon was an ancient kingdom that resided in northern Autumnia. Upon Lucien's transformation into Shadar, he destroyed both kingdoms and transformed the now empty castle of Halcyon into his own personal fortress: Nevermore. According to Gallus, they were fools who misuse their magic and power and their destruction was justified.
