The player is a beta tester for a virtual reality fantasy game called "Soul Divers". Once inside, the AI which was suposed to act as a guide for the players, a girl called Rania, breaks the system while trying to warn the player of something. The player then wakes up in an unknown kingdom being attacked. A strange creature named Kuu urges the player to save the queen, but the queen sends them away after gifting them with a magic jewel. The player is then magically teletransported to the [[Evermore|Kingdom of Evermore]], where they must get strong if they want to save their nameless kingdom, and they begin to realize that that new world might not be a game after all...{{stub}}

The player is then woken up by Cluu, finding themselves in the middle of a fierce battle in a nameless and burning kingdom under attack. Cluu requests that they rescue the Queen who is under attack, and the player must battle their way to the castle entrance. Queen Sia is seen protecting a map that the enemy is after, but upon seeing the player, she entrusts the Guardian Stone to Cluu before they are magically sent away from the danger. Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a role-playing game created by Netmarble Neo and published by Netmarble released for Android and iOS in Japan. It was first revealed at "G-Star", in November 2019, and Tokyo Game Show presented the first gameplay footage in September 2020.[2] On May 15th 2021, it was announced that the game would be released on June 10th of the same year.

Some sources suggested the game will have a global release on the first half of 2022. [3] The game was finally released globally on May 25th 2022.

Plot

The game begins with a glimpse into Ichi no Kuni in the present day, with technology extensively advanced. The scene then cuts to a large laboratory filled with scientists and specialized pods with test subjects within them. Among these test subjects is the Player's chosen Class, and is a beta tester for a virtual reality fantasy game called "Soul Divers".
