Rusty's Nightmare (クロードメア Corrode-mare) is an enemy in Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It is a creature encountered in Motorville.

Strategy
Begin using Oliver. Nightmare has two basic attacks. Be careful not to be hit by these as they are quite powerful. Keep your distance as always. When the Nightmare begins to cast Foul Flames, stay away from him. The purple cloud poisons you, but fortunately has a short range.
After each basic strike, cast Frostbite to get 25-30 damage with each strike. When the Nightmare casts Hard Heart, use Defend. Usually this causes the Nightmare to drop a blue or green orb, but sometimes a gold orb to utilize a special attack. Maintain your high MP by picking up blue orbs and keep your distance to avoid Foul Flames. If you run out of MP (which can also be refilled using Provisions), switch to your Familiar with the strongest attack. Get them in close and strike. Do so sparingly, as the Nightmare's attacks are incredibly powerful. The best tactic is to be patient and slowly gather MP and use Oliver's magic powers.
