"The only daughter of Batu, leader of the sky pirates. He brought her up to be tough and unafraid to speak her mind, and she learned this lesson well--some would say too well. Which isn't to say she doesn't have a secret soft spot for pretty dresses and puppy dogs..."

Citizen Almanac profile description.

Tani (シャーティー Shātī?, "Sharti") is a playable character in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. She is the daughter of Batu, the boss of the Sky Pirates. She mainly wields spears and bows and focuses on dealing long range damage.

Appearance[]

Tani is a young girl with burgundy colour hair and green eyes. She also wears face paint.

Personality []

Plot[]

Roland and Evan are captured by the sky pirates for trespassing on their territory but are spared their lives when Tani arrives and berates the other pirates for their actions. She instructs them to take Roland and Evan to the Sky Pirate base in order to meet with her father, Batu. Batu instructs for them to be executed, but just before they can carry out the execution, it is discovered that the wyverns have captured Tani and taken her to their hideout. Evan and Roland convince Batu to spare their lives so they can rescue Tani.

Once Tani is rescued from the Wyvern's Den, she joins the player's party (followed by Batu, after Evan has received his kingmaker, Lofty), and later in the game, lives in Evermore as a citizen.

Tani helps the party defeat Doloran and brings peace to evermore.

Later in the Wraith DLC, it is revealed that Batu is not her true father but found her while her mom was dying after being attacked by bandits. Her mother gave her the name Tani.

As a party member, Tani is able to wield spears and bows. She focuses on dealing a large amount of damage from long range, but she has the least HP of the whole party. As a citizen, she provides a bonus to the mining camp.

Tani's clothes[]

During the game, Tani can acquire different clothes and change her appearance:

  • Sky Scamp's Clothes - her default outfit
  • Greenling Garb - can be acquired in the Side Quest: 151 Almost Too Good to Be True…, in Evermore when the main story Chapter 7: A Traitor in Our Midst was completed.
